AMELIA WERNER
Amelia Werner, age 92, of Hebron died Sunday at the Blue Valley Lutheran Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, March 13, at 2 p.m., Grace Lutheran Church, Hebron with Rev. Robert Stenson Officiating.
- She is Survived by husband, Walter; three sons; four daughters; 23 grandchildren children and 19 great grandchildren. Hacker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

AMELIA WERNER
- Amelia Pauline Sophie Werner, Daughter of Herman and Clara Thieme Struempler, was born Nov. 15, 1893 at Hampton. She died March 9, 1986 at the Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron at the age of 92.
- In infancy she was baptized on Dec. 10, 1893 at Hampton and was confirmed on April 12, 1908 at Trinity Lutheran Church (Friedensau) at Hebron.
- In 1906 her family moved to the farm five miles northwest of Hebron. On Dec. 5, 1920 she married Walter Jacob Werner at the Academy Lutheran Church in Hebron. Their union was blessed with eight children and a wedded life of 65 years. During the first 10 years of their married life they lived near Wisner. The family returned to the Thayer county area in 1931 and moved to Hebron in 1937 where she lived until 1977 when she became a resident of the Blue Valley Lutheran Home until the time of her death.
- Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and one son, Junior W. Werner.
- She is survived by her husband Walter of Hebron; three sons, Edward F. of Beatrice, Eugene of Hebron and Doyle D. of North Platte; four daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Lorna) Waldmeier of Beatrice, Mrs. Herman (Mildred) Fischer of Shickley, Mrs. Burdean Juedes of Waterloo and Mrs. Shirley Fintel of Lincoln; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martha Werner of Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, Erwin Struempler of Winter Park, Fla. and one sister Mrs. Hilda Malchow of Hebron; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
- Funeral services were held Thursday, March 13, at grace Lutheran Church in Hebron with the Rev. Robert Stenson officiating. Interment was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron. Casket bearers were David Werner, James Fischer, Gerald Juedes, Lyle Werner, Kirk Fintel and Dale Werner.
- Arrangements were made by Hacker Funeral Homes of Hebron and Bruning.

- Walter Jacob Werner, the son of Friederick and Bertha Paneitz Werner, was born March 20, 1893 at Deshler, Nebr. He died March 23, 1987, at the Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron, at the age of 94 years.
- In infancy he was baptized on April 2, 1893, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Deshler, by Rev. William Cholcher. He was confirmed March 24, 1907, at St. Peter Lutheran Church by Rev. William Cholcher.
- Walter was raised on a farm south of Deshler. Walter served in the United States Army during World War I. He was inducted May 27, 1918, at Hebron, Neb., and was honorably discharged from the United states Army on >June 5, 1919, at Camp Dodge, Iowa. On December 5, 1920, he married Amelia Struempler at the Academy Lutheran Church in Hebron. This union was blessed with eight During the first ten years of marriage the family lived at Wisner, Neb. The family returned to the Thayer County area in 1931 and then moved to Hebron, in 1937. Walter worked for the State Department of Roads for 27 years until his retirement. He also worked on a part time basis at Hebron Livestock Commission for many years before and after his retirement. In 1977, he became a resident of the Blue Valley Lutheran Home in Hebron where he has resided until his death.
- He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Amelia on March 9, 1986: one son, Junior W. Werner in 1982; six brothers and three sisters.
- Walter was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron.  He was a Charter member of Saxton Post No. 180 American Legion of Hebron and was also a member of the V.F.W..
- Walter is survived by three sons, Edward F. Werner of Beatrice, Neb.; Eugene Werner of Hebron and Doyle D, Werner of North Platte, Neb.; four daughters, Mrs. Norbert (Lorna) Waldmeier of Beatrice; Mrs. Herman (Mildred) Fischer of Shickley, Neb.; Mrs. Harry (Birdean) Juedes of Waterloo, Neb. and Mrs Shirley Fintel of Lincoln , Neb.; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Martha Werner of Long Beach, Calif.; one brother, Raymond Werner of Polk, Neb. and one sister, Mrs. Laura Schoof of McMinnville, Ore.; also survived by 23 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
- Funeral services were held Thursday, March 26, 1987, at Grace Lutheran Church in Hebron, with Rev. Robert Stenson officiating. Interment was held at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hebron. Military graveside services were conducted by Saxton Post No. 180 American Legion, Hebron. Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Lorene Krenke. Casket bearers were Roger Juedes, Michael Juedes, Mark Fintel, Matthew Werner, Scott Werner and Gene Werner.
