Junior Walter Werner Obituary
- Junior Walter (Wally) Werner was born June 30, 1923, in Wisner, and died Oct. 30, 1982, at the age of 59 years.
- Wally was the son of Walter Werner and Amelia (Struempler) Werner. He was baptized in the Lutheran Church at Wisner by Pastor W.E. Harris and later confirmed in Trinity Lutheran church in Freidensaw by Pastor Theodor Droegmuller.
- Wally, in his youth, moved to Hebron with his parents. He ramained with his family until entering military service during World War II.
- While in the military he met Martha Jane Cagby. They were united in marriage June 22, 1947, in Long Beach, Calif. This union was blessed with two children, a son David and a daughter Rhonda. The family has resided in Long Beach for 35 years.
- Survivors include his wife, Martha; a son, David and wife, Teresa; daughter, Rhonda and her husband, Rich Lambert; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Werner at Blue Valley Lutheran Home; four sisters Lorna Waldmeier, Beatrice; Mildred Fischer, Shickley; Burdean Juedes, Waterloo; Shirley Fintel, Lincoln; three brothers, Edward Werner of Beatrice, Eugene Werner of Hebron and Doyle Werner, North Platte; a host of nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
- Services were held Wednesday, Nov. 3, at the Green Hills Chapel with Rev. Gary Martin and Rev. Roger Magnuson officiating. Internment was at Green Hills Memorial Park in San Pedro, Calf,
- Casket bearers were Herman Fischer, Glenn Lentz, Al Fite, Ned Miller, Bill Lovelace, Dane Scheele, Carlos Fillet and Larry Cook.
