Dear Uncle!
I can communicate to you that we are still healthy and lively. I hope that same also of you all. Here the people
are all at the hay and when we are a few days further then the harvest also already there. This next week want
we rye to mow. The school time have I now advanced which makes me happy also since school lives was an
entire rough life for our teacher was a little bit strict. I have had the 1st Place. I have a completely good certificate
received. I have myself in the Confirmation a witness photographing also a picture will send to you. Yesterday
we have from Fritz and Minna also a letter received therein have we read that Aunt died. It makes us also very
sorry again that can’t be of help to you. Sophie is also well, away from you however the main thing is also that
there all goes well. Now I want to end and we hope that you this letter with best health finds.

Dear son and daughter-in-law and the dear many children all
I share with you that we are still good with peace and hope you are also. Frietz is also not strong he cannot any
work do. I am also weaker again. I celebrate on 10 October my 80 Birthday for you over there be able to
celebrate. You have not written to us for a long time. Like you, Sophie makes the most of where she is she
has already much with made. I must still many memories she was my favorite beginner, she has written to us.
She is now with her cousin Hanna Wübbenhorst must now for her journey can pay which you deserve. Here in
Germany is also not well here much money times towards vie costs not much that to have more we all in more
stueer to when we only healthy remain. Herman Summann has already died. We have a cold winter had much
snow and around spring much rain. Now have we beautiful weather the fruits already well from 2 days before
Pentecost has it thoroughly frozen.

Lieber Unkel!
Ich kann dir mitteilen, daß wir noch alle gesund und munter wie ich daß selbe auch von euch allen hoffe. Hier
sind die Leute alle am Heuen und wenn wir ein paar Tage weiter sind dann ist die Ernte auch schon Da. Diese
nächste Woche wollen wir auch schon Roggen mähen. Die Schulzeit habe ich jetzt vorrücken dazn freue ich
mich auch denn daß Schulleben war ein genz unruhiges Leben denn unser Lehrer wer ein bischen streng. Ich
habe den 1. Platz gehubt. Ich habe nuch ein ganz gutes Zeugnis bekommen. Ich habe mich im Konfirmations
Zeuge Photographieren lassen werde ihnen auch ein Bild schicken. Gestern haben wir von Fritz und Minna
auch einen Brief bekommen darin haben wir gelese daß Tante gestorben ist. Es tut uns auch sehr leid aber
derann ist nichts zu ändern. Sophie ist auch wöhl weit ab von euch aber die Hauptsache ist wenn es ihr da gut
geht. Jetzt will ich enden und wir hoffen daß euch dieser Brief bei bester gesundheit antreft.

Ich teile euch mit das wier noch gut zu frieden sind und das hoffe euch auch von euch Frietz ist auch nicht Stark
er kan keine Scherre Arbeit machen ich bin auch nicht Stark mehr aber es geht ich Feier den 10 October mein
80 Geburtstag den könt ihr Dort feiern du hast uns lange nicht mehr geschrieben. Wo gefällt dir Sophie den wirt
sie sich dort machen sie hat schon vieles mit gemaht. Ich mus noch viel Andenken den es war mein Liebling
Neuling hat sie uns Geschrieben. Sie ist jetzt bei seine Cosine Hanna Wübbenhorst seimuß jetzt was Verdinne
das sie das sie ihre Reise bezahlen kan. Hier in Deut(sch)land ist auch nicht gut hier ist viel Geld malgen vie
kostet nicht viel das müssen wir alle im stueer bezahlen wen wir nur gesund bleiben. Herman Summann ist
schon Gestorben. Wir haben einen Kalten Winter gehabt viel Schnee und um Frühjahr viel Regen jetzt haben
wir Schön es wetter die Früchte schon gut aus 2 tage vor Pfinsten hat es Tüchtig Gefroren .
